TEAM | “Currently” with Parker Payne

In this new series, we’ll be catching up with our riders to see what’s been “currently” happening with them. Whether it’s traveling for contests, free riding, or whatever, we want to know what they’re up to! We start with all-around ripper Parker Payne. Check it out below!

As the season is starting up, I’ve been spending lots of time on the water getting ready for contests and content shoots. In the meantime though, I’ve been putting energy into lots of different endeavors. So let’s dive into my camera roll and talk about life recently.

I’ve been jumping back and forth to Mexico City. My family has a tourism business there so we go often. I swear I could eat a million street tacos every day and not get tired of them. There is lots to do there and everyone is welcoming so I always enjoy any chance I get to go.

When I’m not stuffing my face full of street tacos, I’ve been attending lots of Dallas Stars games. We are currently in the western conference finals so it’s been fun to watch. As I’m currently writing this, game 6 isn’t going too well. Regardless, GO STARS!

On the days that the spring winds aren’t blowing us away, I’ve been touching up on my foil game. As you can see, it’s going quite well. It’s always good to break up my usual time of skimming and surfing with a new challenge.

Shout out to my Silver Lake Foil Crew! I have a great group of friends and slip neighbors at my marina. We always have a great time together!

Additionally, I volunteer every Friday at a local animal center where they have hundreds of different animals. In this picture is Blossom, a 35 year old cockatoo who was chained up for the first decade of her life. She now resides at the animal center and lives a pleasant life. I give her her favorite snack—pine nuts— but she still tries to bite me. I love her anyway.

And lastly, I have to talk about my pet rats. I have 5 of them and in this video is Chester. He gets fed well and is super fat! I have always been a huge animal lover and they are very entertaining after a long day on the water.

Thanks for catching up with me. Now back to lessons, contests, and shooting rad content!
