Always searching for new and rising talent, Phase 5 is comprised of the best surf and skim style riders in the world. Adding to that list is up-and-comer Roan Ritzer. Roan is a skim style rider with a solid bag of tricks and plenty of style. Hailing from the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," aka Minnesota, Roan is on board for 2023 and we're stoked to have him! Get to know him a little better below and keep your eyes peeled for him this season.

Phase 5: Congrats on making the Phase 5 team! How stoked are you?!
Roan: I’m so stoked to be a part of such a fantastic group of people! Everyone has so much passion for the sport and it’s great to see everyone having fun and pushing each other.
Phase 5: How long have you been wake surfing for? What are some of your other hobbies?
Roan: I started in the summer of 2019. I play a lot of hockey and when I’m not doing that, I like to go to the gym and hang out with my friends.
Phase 5: What are your plans for the 2023 season?
Roan: I plan to have a fun competition season and put out some awesome content.
Phase 5: Who’s your favorite rider on the team currently?
Roan: I would have to go with Parker Payne. He’s got great style and makes everything look so easy.
Phase 5: What are some of the tricks you’re working on for the 2023 season?
Roan: I want to get my 720 big spins down and learn some more stuff in the flats.
Phase 5: Where’s the coolest spot that you’ve ridden? What are some other places that you hope to ride in 2023?
Roan: The coolest spot I’ve ridden would definitely be the Mississippi River in Minneapolis during the 10k Lakes competition and I hope to ride in Texas this year.

Roan: Shout out to my dad for always driving the boat for me and Ashley Inloes for helping start my wake surf career by encouraging me to compete!
