Mo Hamoui

No matter the temperature, Mo Hamoui isn't scared to get in the water. Riding in the PNW, he's used to some chilly conditions and his riding shows that dedication pays off!

Mo Hamoui is a dedicated and resilient rider on the Phase 5 wakesurf team, representing the brand's spirit of year-round commitment and passion from the challenging waters of the Pacific Northwest. Based in Lake Stevens, Washington, Mo joined the Phase 5 squad in early 2024 as part of an expanded amateur team push, quickly earning his spot through his relentless drive to surf no matter the conditions. He braves cold, rain, and snow in a 5/4 wetsuit during the off-season, turning every possible day into a session on the water. With about five years of riding under his belt, Mo focuses on building consistency, expanding his trick arsenal—including goals like dialing in 720 Big Spins, switch tricks such as the Hail Mary and Switch 5 Big—and stepping up in competitions while creating content and traveling.

His favorite board is the Key, a high-performance skim shape that suits his technical style and love for tricks like the Front Shuv + Blind Body Varial. Beyond wakesurfing, Mo owns a cinematography/videography business, capturing the sport he loves through his lens, and he's deeply passionate about cars and motorcycles. A standout accomplishment includes signing a contract with MasterCraft Boat Company, highlighting his growing presence in the scene. Mo's positive energy, work ethic, and ability to inspire others in the wakesurfing community make him a valuable member of the Phase 5 family, proving that true dedication shines through even in the toughest environments as he continues to progress and contribute in 2026 and beyond.
