Hailing from Tennessee, Sutton picked up wakesurfing just three years ago but has quickly developed into a standout ripper with solid technical skills, clean style, and a competitive edge that has him turning heads in both amateur and semi-pro divisions. His quick rise includes strong podium performances, such as a 2nd-place finish in Men's Semi-Pro Skim at the Volunteer Wake Surf Classic (a Centurion World Series stop) in 2025, alongside earlier results like 2nd in Amateur Men's Skim at events such as the Southern Surf Slam. Sutton wrapped up his 2025 season by winning the 2025 Semi pro World Championship .
