A new year means new gear, right? Well, 2027 did not disappoint! We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our boards, whether that means new traction, new outlines, new shapes, and even new boards! Check out some highlights below for some new new from the 2027 Performance Skim Collection.

It was a whirlwind of excitement as team Phase 5 racked up win after win at the IWWF World Championships in China this past week! We caught up with some of the crew that made the journey to compete to see how everything went down! For most, this was the farthest from home they’ve ever been! Enjoy some BTS shots from the event and some snippets from the riders themselves!

For 2027, we have outfitted all of our Pro model Performance Surfboards with Futures fins! This means your fins will be easier to swap out and you'll have more options to choose from so you can dial in your ride.

The 2026 contest season has officially wrapped and team Phase 5 went out swinging! The IWWF World Championships took place all last week and when the dust settled, team Phase 5 took down multiple podiums and World Championship titles!

Brand new for 2027 comes the Phase Five Elixir. The brainchild of Sean Silveira and Parker Payne, the Elixir is a brand new design that is responsive and super fun on the water. It was built out of a desire to have something different in their quiver and after knocking around a few ideas, they jumped in the shaping booth and got to work.

Keep up with all the competition and your favorite Phase 5 riders as they compete at the IWWF World Wakesurf Championships in Xiang Lake, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China! The stream will be updated here as the contest progresses so keep checking back!

The Centurion World Series of Wakesurfing wrapped up this weekend with the World Championship taking place in Winter Haven, FL and what a weekend it was! The waves were pumping and the vibes were high as the team competed for the ultimate bragging rights that come along with winning a world championship!

The Canadian Wakesurf Nationals are going down next weekend on Lake Gleniffer, Alberta all the up in the Great White North of Canada! This event brings together riders from all over the country as the compete for National bragging rights. Check out all the info and register today!

he fourth and final stop of the Wake United Wake & Surf Series goes down this weekend! August 8-9th, the “Battle by the Beach” takes over Acworth Beach on  Lake Acworth in Acworth, GA. This location has been host to many high-profile events in the past because of its great conditions and solid spectator area

What a killer weekend in Boca Raton, FL for the team at the Nautique USA National Wakesurf Championships. We crowned a few new National Champions, with more filling out the podiums! We are always hyped to see our team crushing it and we are looking forward to the next one! Huge shoutout to the team, especially Jett Lambert and Whitley Roberts for taking 1st in the Pro Men and Pro Women skim divisions.

The King of Wakesurf event went down in Poland this past weekend with a few European Phase 5 riders taking part of the contest! Most notably Nick Gorbunov taking a very respectable 2nd in Pro men. We’re always hyped to see our riders on the podium, no matter where they are in the world! 

“Pass The Handle” week is a great time to get new people out on the water enjoying the good times that we all love! Whether that be through wakesurfing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, tubing, or anything in between, this week is all about getting newbies out on the water and having fun!

The lip slide is a great trick that you can do on it's own, to break up your trick combos, or to implement in your combos! The sky is the limit with this simple, yet stylish, trick. Let team rider Jodi Grassman run you through it and give it a go next time you're on the water! 

Now that you’ve mastered getting up on your Phase 5 board…it’s time to drop the rope and really get to surfing! Using the push of the wave and not relying on the rope is what surfing is all about and once you get the hang of it, the world opens up for you! Caro Villeneuve has logged more time on the water than most riders out there. Originally from the Great White North in Fernie, BC Canada, Caro got a bit of a late start in wakesurfing having been an avid wakeboarder and “forced” into surfing (her words, not ours!) but we are so stoked that she did! It’s not every day that one of our riders signs to a boat company! Parker Payne just made the decision to sign on with Tigé boats and he’s already stomped a few kickflips on their wave so it must be pretty good! Getting the opportunity to travel to Japan for the Lake Biwa Open was honestly one of the coolest experiences I’ve had through wakesurfing. It was my first time visiting Japan, and being able to experience it alongside my wife, Chelsea, made it even more special. We spent time exploring Tokyo and Kyoto, riding the bullet train through the countryside, visiting temples, and taking in a culture that was completely different from anything we’ve experienced before. One of the biggest highlights for me was finally seeing Mount Fuji from the bullet train. It’s one of those things you’ve seen in photos your whole life, but seeing it in person was pretty surreal.

Another week of events and another slew of Phase 5 team podium finishes! We love to see it and now that the season is in full swing, you can expect to see more! We’re covering four recent events that went down in the last week – PWT Stop #1, Atlanta Foil Fest, Gravel Tour, and the Mastercraft Rider Experience.

With our 2027 product photoshoot right around the corner (exciting, we know!), we thought it would be fun to send it back to our shoot on Lake Lanier, GA for the 2020 product! This was such a fun shoot on the beautiful waters of Lake Lanier. We’re back again with episode 3 of the Phase 5 podcast – “Beyond the Prop”! For this episode, we sit down with World Champ and the Key Master himself, Sean Silveira. Sean has made a name for himself in the wakesurfing world over the years for his incredible style, tricks, contest results, and infectious personality but how did he get his start? Growing up in California, he took to board sports at a young age with ocean surfing. That eventually turned into flowboarding where he skyrocketed to the top, winning championships and becoming known as one of the top riders in the world.

Drew Danielo and Sean Silveria are two of the most established and recognizable names in wakesurfing. With multiple championships under each of their belts and more hours on a board than most, we felt they were the right people to talk to about the State of Surfing. The P5 Regatta has become a staple on the event calendar for the team and now in its 4th year, it just keeps getting better with more riders and family members attending! What started as an extended hangout after our team photoshoots has taken on its own life as a full-fledged event meant to bring the team closer together.

The team showed up and crushed it in multiple divisions and we are stoked! Some notable performances would be Luke Hutcherson and Sean Silveira taking 2nd and 3rd respectively in Pro Men’s Skim Ashley Inloes securing 2nd in Pro Women’s Skim, and young gun Phupa Sitabutr taking 1st in Open Men’s Skim! Congrats again to all the riders who made it on the podium and we’ll see you at the next one!
