- Name: Finley Jones
- Nickname: Fin
- Location: Anderson, SC
- P5 Board of Choice: Tough question -- I love both the Key and the Mindset!
- Years Riding: 2.5
- Favorite Trick: 540 Big Spin
- Riding Crew: Most of the time it’s just me and my Dad, but I love when the rest of the fam comes out too. My sister Adalynn is a huge support and grabs all my pics and vids. Whenever I can make it down to Florida, it’s awesome riding with Amelia and the Wiley crew, and of course, my boy Phupa!
- Biggest Accomplishment in Wakesurfing: Well, in my first year of competitive wakesurfing, I made the podium in over 90% of the events I attended and earned several titles. Making podiums and winning is awesome, but my personal growth and the evolution I experienced throughout the 2025 journey was next level. Beyond competition, I’ve really worked hard to share my passion for the sport with my local community in hopes to inspire riders of all ages throughout the world.
PHASE 5: Congrats on joining the team for 2026. How does it feel?
Finley: It feels AWESOME man! Making the P5 team has been a personal goal of mine since 2024 when I started taking wakesurfing seriously.
PHASE 5: What are you most looking forward to in the 2026 season?
Finley: I’m SUPER PUMPED for the 2026 season! I entered the 2025 season knowing absolutely nothing about how the tour worked, the comps worked, the divisions worked….well basically I knew nothing about competitive wakesurfing except for how to surf. Now that I have a season under my belt, I am stoked to take the experience and knowledge gained from 2025 into 2026. I feel like I’ll be able to ride more freely and relaxed because I know what to expect going into the season.
PHASE 5: Which surfers on the P5 team are you most stoked to ride with? Why?
Finley: I’m looking forward to riding with anyone and everyone on the P5 team. I personally believe that every rider has something unique to offer that can help drive me and grow my skillset, so I’m pumped to ride with everyone!
PHASE 5: What's the coolest experience you've had thanks to wakesurfing?
Finley: Traveling the country with my family doing something that we all love has been incredible. The cool places and the unique experiences that the sport has brought us is nothing short of fantastic. If I had to say what the coolest thing about wakesurfing has been, I’d have to say the people. Man, we’ve got like a whole huge group of friends from all different backgrounds, and we’ve all become like family. If that’s not cool, I don’t know what is!
PHASE 5: Again, we're stoked to have you Finley! Is there anyone you'd like to thank?
Finley:Thank you so much! I’m super stoked to be here! Yeah man, I’d like to thank my family but especially my dad. Hardly anyone where I’m from wakesurfs. So even though when I first started, I loved to ride, I lost interest because I didn’t realize there was a world of wakesurfing beyond my local lake. My dad saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself and in the summer of 2024, he challenged me to be a better surfer than he was by the end of the summer. He pulled me time and time again, hardly ever surfing himself, and then one day I was climbing back in the boat after a session and he gave me a huge hug and told me that I did it and I was ready to start competing. If it weren’t for that, I wouldn’t be here today so thank you Dad!
