It’s not every day that one of our riders signs to a boat company! Parker Payne just made the decision to sign on with Tigé boats and he’s already stomped a few kickflips on their wave so it must be pretty good! We caught up with Parker to see how he felt about everything. Check it out below and congrats again, Parker!
PHASE 5: Congrats on the new sponsor! How does it feel?
Parker: I am so excited to be back with the brand that started it all for me! My family’s first boat was a Tigé, and it’s the boat I learned to wakesurf behind. Seventeen years later, I’m thrilled to be back with the brand that helped spark my love for the sport.
PHASE 5: How did it all come together?
Parker: I spoke with a few different boat manufacturers, but when Tigé reached out, it felt like family welcoming me home. I’ve known so many people at the company for over a decade, so it just felt right. Coming back to the brand that started it all for me is incredibly special, and I know without a doubt I made the right choice.
PHASE 5: Which boat in the line is your favorite?
Parker: The 25ZX Ultré is my favorite boat in the lineup. It’s a big luxury surf boat with an incredible wave and some amazing features! I’ve always said “bigger boat, bigger wave,” and it definitely delivers. And after having features like the UltréChill cooler, I’m spoiled and can’t go back.
PHASE 5: How’s the wave for kickflips?
Parker: It’s been perfect for kickflips. I landed my cleanest one ever behind it a few weeks ago. The wave is clean and easy to ride. Now I’m excited to see what bigger tricks I can land next!
PHASE 5: Anything else we should know about this deal?
Parker: I’m really excited for what’s ahead. Tigé is pushing hard to innovate and create the best experience on the water. Working with both Tigé and Phase 5 has truly been a dream come true!
