PHASE 5: Surf or skim?
Parker: Surf! Love them both but surf style will always be my favorite.
PHASE 5: Sunrise or sunset sessions?
Parker: Sunrise without a doubt. I like to ride when I’m fresh and energized. Early bird gets the worm.
PHASE 5: Big riding crew or small?
Parker: Small crew! The smaller the crew, the more ride time you have.
PHASE 5: When foiling, tricks on the first wave or pumping around?
Parker: I prefer to do tricks on the first wave. Although, I have been know to do them on the second. I still prefer the amplitude that you get on the first wave jumping off the lip!
PHASE 5: Home lake in Texas or Norris Lake in Tennessee?
Parker: If I had the choice, Norris Lake takes the cake for me. It’s glassy all day and beyond beautiful! My home lake is Lake Grapevine outside of Dallas, Texas. It’s ugly but practical... haha!
PHASE 5: Style or tech tricks?
Parker: As much as I’d love to be a style rider, tech tricks are my thing. I love pushing the boundaries of surf style while adding as much style as I can.
PHASE 5: Regular Phantom or Stealth version?
Parker: Both are top tier choices. I usually flip a coin to choose what board I’m riding that day!
PHASE 5: Backside or frontside?
Parker: If we are talking spin rotations, I love backside variations. Going big on backside air 360s or backside big spins.
PHASE 5: When foiling, straps or no straps?
Parker: Straps all the way! I love the locked in feeling and it gives you much more control over your heel and toe pressure. However, once I get the guts to try a 360 shuv on the front wave, I’ll take them off.
