Rob McClelland

Rob McClelland has been on a mission for the last few seasons to push his riding to new and exciting levels. Make sure to follow along to see his progression!

Rob McClelland is a standout pro skim rider on the Phase 5 wakesurf team, known for his consistency, technical sharpness, and clean lines. He transitioned from a strong amateur/semi-pro background—highlighted by the 2023 Semi-Pro Male Skim World Championship win and a 2nd-place finish in Amateur Male Skim at the 2022 Worlds—to becoming a full pro contender. In recent years, he's secured multiple podiums and runner-up finishes on major tours, including 2nd overall in the Pro Wake Tour (PWT) in 2024 and 3rd overall in 2025 (behind Jett Lambert and Dylan Matthews). He frequently challenges teammate Jett Lambert, with strong results across events like the Centurion World Series of Wakesurfing and PWT stops, showcasing his dialed-in tricks and relentless progression.

A dedicated Phase 5 ambassador, Rob pushes his skills through training and travel while riding high-performance boards like the Matrix and Key series that excel in precision and pop. He appears in team interviews, the "Sorry For the Wake" podcast, and community efforts like Groms for Groms, bringing positive, driven energy that motivates younger riders. Whether competing for wins, grinding contests, or sharing the stoke with the Phase 5 family, Rob continues to elevate skim riding with his work ethic and promising future in 2026 and beyond.
