Songkrod Jomboon, aka BM, has been crushing the international contest scene, clenching the IWWF Rider of the Year accolade as well as multiple 1st place finishes. We're stoked to have him repping P5!
Songkrod Jomboon is an international standout and rising force on the Phase 5 wakesurf team, bringing explosive technical skills and a championship mindset from Bangkok, Thailand. Joining the squad in early 2024 after just over a year of wakesurfing, Songkrod quickly proved his talent by clinching the 2023 CWSA World Championship in the Outlaw Men’s Skim division—an incredible feat that highlighted his rapid progression and dedication. With a background as a world champion in competitive flowboarding (2019) and experience in surfing, surfskating, and flowriding, he transitioned seamlessly to wakesurfing after military service in 2022, channeling his board control into high-level skim riding. His favorite trick, the 720 bigspin, showcases his flair for complex spins and rotations, and he favors the Key 50”—a high-performance skim board that perfectly matches his quick, poppy style for technical tricks and speed.
Being an international rider, Songkrod has traveled far to compete, earning hardware at major events like the IWWF World Wakesurf Championships in Hong Kong, China (2024), where he joined teammates Jett Lambert, Bailey Rush, Sean Silveira, and Whitley Stewart to bring home results for the team. His journey inspires riders worldwide, especially in Asia, where wakesurfing continues to grow, and he embodies Phase 5's commitment to supporting passionate, driven athletes from diverse backgrounds.
