Kaelyn Hellemn is a rising professional wakesurfer on the Phase 5 team, known for her smooth, consistent style and impressive progression in the women's skim division. Hailing from Churubusco, Indiana, where she rides on Blue Lake, Kaelyn's passion for the water started young through exposure to wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and other watersports, but wakesurfing quickly became her favorite. She began surfing at age 7 and entered the competitive scene in 2021, quickly making waves with strong performances. Highlights include a 2nd-place finish in Juniors at the 2022 World Wake Surfing Championships and a dominant win in Amateur Female Skim at the 2023 Centurion World Wake Surfing Championships, where she rode solidly all weekend to claim the world title. Her family ties to the sport run deep, with sibling Aria Hellemn also repping Phase 5 and earning youth podiums.

 

Now competing as a pro, Kaelyn continues to elevate her game with clean technical tricks, solid runs, and podium finishes across major events, including a 3rd-place result in Pro Female Surf at the 2025 Centurion WSWS SurfMN King of the Lakes Classic. A dedicated Phase 5 rider, she thrives on the brand's high-performance skim shapes that reward precision and flow, helping her push boundaries while maintaining her joyful, competitive edge. Whether training on her home lake, traveling to contests, or inspiring the next generation of female riders, Kaelyn shows her love for wakesurfing as she builds on her world-champion foundation toward even greater achievements.
