Reed Cole-Tucker, or RCT for short, has been honing his technical skim skills which have been paying off recently with some solid contest wins.
Reed Cole-Tucker is a rising star and dynamic force on the Phase 5 wakesurf team, known for his clean style, technical precision, and fearless progression in the pro skim division. Living in New Hampshire, the short summer seasons on his home lake fuel his hunger for every session. Reed joined Phase 5 early in his career—riding their boards since he started wakesurfing in 2017—and quickly became part of the brand's celebrated "Grom Squad" before transitioning to pro. At just 14 years old in 2022, he made history as one of the youngest professional riders competing at the top level. His amateur highlights include claiming the 2020 Amateur Men's Skim World Championship, multiple junior podiums, and strong showings that set the stage for his pro breakthrough. Reed consistently delivers high-level performances, earning runner-up finishes at the World Wakesurf Championships (including 2nd in Pro Male Skim in 2022 and 3rd in 2023), alongside regular podiums in major events that showcase his smooth floaters, powerful turns, and innovative tricks like revert 360s with stylish shuv variations.
A dedicated Phase 5 ambassador, Reed thrives on training trips to Florida, where he sessions with top teammates like Sean Silveira, Whitley Stewart, and Jett Lambert to sharpen his finless riding and comp lines. His love for Phase 5 boards runs deep—he credits them as unmatched for performance and has been an integral part of the team's youth-to-pro pipeline, learning from pros while pushing the sport forward with his positive attitude and competitive spirit. Whether grinding through New Hampshire winters with indoor surf training or dominating podiums worldwide, Reed embodies the relentless passion and bright future of wakesurfing on the Phase 5 squad, inspiring groms and pros alike as he continues to elevate the level of technical skim riding.
