Operation Wakesurf Gives Back!

If you’re into the wakesurfing scene, there’s no doubt that you’ve heard about the organization of Operation Wakesurf. Started by Robby Maschhaupt in Charlotte, NC, Operation Wakesurf is a non-profit organization that focuses on giving first responders and military personnel unique and personal on-water experiences, aka wake surfing! Ever since achieving their non-profit status, they have gotten over 2000 individuals on the water! These individuals range from those with slight trauma all the way to multiple amputees, which just proves that wakesurfing is meant to be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. This drive and commitment to fun earned them the prestigious “Pass the Handle” award given out by the WSIA.

We at Phase 5 have been working with them for years to keep them stocked up with anything and everything they need to get people on the water. We just wanted to take some time to give them a shout out to let them know how much we, and the sport, appreciates what they do! For more information, make sure to follow them on Instagram HERE and for a list of their events this year, check out the blog post HERE!
