  • 2 min read

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that Jett Lambert has been on the forefront of surf progression for the last few years. Landing new tricks, getting tricks consistent that were previously inconceivable and standing atop more podiums than any other rider, Jett has been pushing surfing like no other. No wonder he took the P5 Rider of the Year award for the second year in a row! Congrats, Jett! Check in with him below about how his 2026 is coming together!

PHASE 5: Yo, Jett! Congrats on your second consecutive Rider of the Year award. What does it mean to you?
Jett: More than you know!  Every season I really do put in so much work, so at the end of that to be awarded Rider of the Year feels pretty dang good.

PHASE 5: What were some of your favorite moments from the past year?
Jett: Man, all of it. I love this sport, I am beyond grateful for every sponsor and all of the people I meet along the way.  To be able to ride, train with some of your best friends makes life pretty freaking good.

PHASE 5: What are you looking forward to most in 2026? What trips do you have planned?
Jett: I’m looking forward to pushing the sport as much as I can. Dialing in some new stuff. I have some pretty sick shoots coming up. We have so many local contests this year so being home and staying on my routine is looking pretty sweet.

PHASE 5: What are some things you’re looking to improve on from last season?
Jett: I am always looking back at old runs, so if there is anything I notice that I don’t necessarily think looks clean. I’m going to improve it.

PHASE 5: Who would you like to thank?
Jett: Everyone! Phase 5 from Day 1! MasterCraft with the sickest wave out there.  Every sponsor , every brand partnership.  My boys, who are also my teammates.   And of course my family who are always my number 1 supporters. I am truly blessed to have the best people in my corner for this insane ride I get to do year after year.
