The 2025 USA Flow Tour Championships just went down at Riversport OKC and although we don’t make flow rider boards, unless Sean Silveira asks really nicely, we were stoked to help out and sponsor the tour because we want people to be stoked about riding boards on water, no matter how they do it! The sport of flow riding has seen a major increase in progression over the last few years and having Sean Silveira on the team, who got his start in flow riding, it just made sense to help out the Flow Tour crew!

Who doesn’t love a good throwback clip? We sure do! This week, we were feeling nostalgic and decided to do a little “Flashback Friday” of one of our OG riders, Mr. Key himself - Sean Silveira! Only a few short years ago, Sean was topping the podium of basically every major event and he did it with tons of style. These days, Sean still rides hard but doesn’t compete as often. He’s been an integral part in the development of the future generation of riders. Mainly riders like Jett Lambert, Rob McClelland, and Whitley Stewart to name a few. Enjoy this clip of Sean tearing it up and winning the 2020 Nautique Masters now!

The ultimate weekend warrior board, the Zilla v2 is all about having a good time behind the boat. Its long outline keeps your speed up and in the pocket of the wave while the fish tail gives you a playful feel on the water. Jett Lambert shreds. There’s no doubt about it. So he needs a board that can shred just as hard as he can. Since the beginning of his wakesurfing career, he has ridden the Phase 5 Key. His technical style of riding demands a board that can keep up and the Key has no issue doing so. For the second year, he has his own version of the board – the Jett Shreds Key. Complete with a brand new graphic for 2025, the Jett Shreds Key has all the same features as the normal Key. If you’re looking for a technical skim style board that can handle anything and everything, this is the board for you!

Our second to last stop on our UAE tour was with Home Wake Club, nestled squarely in the downtown area of Dubai. Surrounded by the insane architecture that Dubai is known for, we loaded up into the boat and began to cruise out to the riding spot. Texas has become a very popular spot for the sport of wakesurfing. The weather obviously plays a role in getting people out onto the water as well as the many awesome lakes throughout the state. South Austin Marine in Austin, TX has been killing it with getting people stoked on Phase 5 and riding behind the boat. And with Lake Travis located right outside of the city, there’s plenty of opportunity to ride. The UAE has become a hot spot for the sport of wakesurfing and we’re here for it! With tons of access to the water and plenty of different clubs to go choose from, it’s rather easy to get on the water and surf. As opposed to the states where the norm is to have your own boat, or a buddy with a boat, in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, they have “clubs” where you can call in to make a reservation to ride, with or without coaching. It takes the stress out of taking care of your own boat so all you have to do is show up and shred! Sounds pretty good, right?!

We’ve heard you and here is the answer! New for 2025, the Minnow is a grom-focused surf style board that’s here to help them take their riding to new heights. The Minnow is built just like our other surf style boards in the Performance Surf line so there’s no skimping on quality with it. It’s been glassed with our Flightlite V2™ Pro Select layup for ultimate strength and lightweight performance and comes equipped as a twin fin with two FCS fusion fin boxes. This keeps the board locked in and easy to keep speed on while also being easy for a smaller rider to break the fins free on slayshes and more. It comes with a pulled in nose design to keep the board from catching the lip while going up the wave and features an aggressive swallow tail so the groms can really attack the wave!

We’re stoked to add another promising young talent to team Phase 5 with “Lil E”, aka Emma Proudfit! Emma has been training with team rider Ashley Inloes for the last couple seasons and it has really paid off. With a podium at World’s this past season, we’re excited to see what the future holds for this little ripper!

John Akerman’s surf blade of choice, the Ahi, has been one of our most popular boards in the surf line the last few years. We believe this is partly due to the fact that not only does this board rip, John rides it all season long really putting it to the test so when the off season comes, he’s right there in the shaping room trying to make it even better, year after year.

The 2025 Snapper is a brand new skim style board for the 2025 season. If your grom has been struggling to keep the board under his or her feet, this is the board for you. The Snapper is a very forgiving board and easy to balance on with its wide outline that helps keep the rider in the wave. It comes equipped with a full deck traction pad so you can feel gripped to the board no matter where your feet are placed. It comes in two sizes – 36” and 43” – that have differing levels of thickness (⅜” core for the 36” version and ½” core for the 43” version) so even the youngest riders can sink the board under their feet with the smaller version and bigger kids have more float with the 43” version. Keep the 2” skim fin on for ultimate control in the wave or take it off for a nice, slick skim style feel!

To start 2025, we’ve added some grom rippers to the team and we’ll be highlighting them over the next few weeks. We start with Heidi Jo Neal from Flower Mound, TX. Heidi joins her big sister Collins Neal on the P5 team and we’re stoked to have them! Her family is all about surfing, with mom and dad being avid surfers as well. You know what they say…a family that shreds together, stays together!

Team rider Cade Lybeck recently spent some time in Billings, MT for the grand opening of Montana Wake Co., a brand new dealership specializing in Nautique, Centurion, and Supreme boat sales. Of course they know what’s up and have a wide selection of Phase 5! We’re always stoked to get in with dealers who know what the people want! Cade got the invitation to come out to the grand opening recently to check out the shop and hang out with the crew.

The 2025 Gizmo is the OG Phase 5 foil board! It’s light, stiff, and delivers the right amount of float. Made with our FLEXtec V2™ construction, the Gizmo board takes every pump from the rider and transfers that energy effortlessly to the foil so you can ride farther and longer. Its extra wide rounded nose helps you recover after a foil breach and the pulled in bottom half keeps the Gizmo very maneuverable. You can ride it with or without straps so you always have the option! The track system runs 10.75” so you have plenty of options as to where you want to set up your foil. Push it forward for new riders who are just getting used to the lift that a foil produces and then push it back as you get more comfortable!
