Phase 5 is excited to announce our sponsorship with the upcoming Southern Slam Surf Event on June 28th and 29th, on Lake Lanier, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by Surf ATL and benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Atlanta, this is sure to be one of the biggest stops on the World Series of Wakesurfing calendar with a purse of $25k!
Every year, we like to take some of our most popular shapes and give them a little extra. Whether that’s using some different materials to make the board lighter and stronger or a special graphic, we love a good LTD board! This year, we went with Drew Danielo’s pro models – the Hammerhead v3 and Diamond Turbo – as well as John Akerman’s skim – the MVP – and gave them the LTD trea
The “Come & Take It” Conroe Classic on Lake Conroe, just outside of Houston Texas, went down this past weekend and you know team Phase 5 was there to represent! A definite highlight of the weekend was a clean Phase 5 sweep of the pro men’s skim podium with Jett Lambert taking top honors, new team rider Luke Hutcherson cruising into 2nd, and Rob McClelland rounding out the podium in 3rd. Jett even jumped on the surf style and took third in pro men’s surf. Yeah, Jett! Evie Shropshire crushed it in pro women’s skim with a solid 2nd place finish while Faith Byram took 2nd in semi-pro women’s skim and Dana Wright took 2nd in women’s amateur skim.
Wake The Canyon, presented by the WWA, went down this past weekend at Buffalo Spring Lake in Lubbock, TX. The contest consisted of wakeboarding and wakesurfing. The hot Texas sun beat down as Team Phase 5 shredded and found themselves on some of the podiums! Congrats to all the riders who placed and a big thanks to the sponsors for putting on the event!
